About Jeff Augustine

Jeff Augustine is a Colorado-based wildlife and nature photographer and the founder of Among the Wild Photography. Based in Arvada, Colorado, Jeff has developed a deep appreciation for the beauty, detail, and wonder found in the natural world—from birds and wildlife to insects, landscapes, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.

Photography has become a way for Jeff to slow down, observe creation more closely, and capture moments that reveal both the beauty and personality of the wild. Whether photographing a hummingbird suspended in flight, the intricate details of an insect, or wildlife against the Colorado landscape, his goal is to create images that invite others to stop, look closer, and experience a sense of wonder.

Jeff also brings more than 30 years of experience in pastoral ministry and theological education. He holds a Master of Arts in Theology from Fuller Theological Seminary and has taught theology, biblical studies, and church history at Colorado Christian University, Urbana Theological Seminary, and international Bible institutes. His years of teaching, ministry, and faith have deeply influenced the way he sees the natural world—as something worth noticing, appreciating, and preserving.

Through Among the Wild Photography, Jeff hopes to share not simply photographs, but encounters with the extraordinary beauty found all around us.

Jeff lives in Arvada, Colorado, with his wife and family.
